CASINO (Cuban Salsa)
Casino, or Cuban Salsa, is a vibrant partner dance that originated in Havana in the 1950s. It's social, energetic and full of personality. Unlike other salsa styles that move in straight lines, Casino flows in circular patterns that feel natural and conversational between partners. The dance encourages connection, spontaneity and fun — making it perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy themselves on the dance floor.
What makes Casino truly special is Rueda de Casino, where couples dance together in a circle and follow called-out moves that rotate partners around the group. It's dynamic, social and incredibly fun — you'll quickly feel part of a welcoming community where everyone's learning, laughing and enjoying the music together. Rueda is a fantastic way to build confidence, meet new people and experience the true spirit of Cuban dance culture.
Casino is danced to authentic Cuban music — from the classic rhythms of Son Cubano to the high-energy sounds of Timba and Songo. These styles are packed with percussion, bass and infectious melodies that make you want to move. Dancing to this music connects you with Cuba's rich cultural heritage while giving you an excellent workout and a creative outlet all at once.
Our classes welcome complete beginners with no experience or partner needed. Whether you're looking to stay active, meet people, learn something new or simply enjoy great music — Casino offers a rewarding and joyful dance experience.

At Agua Latin Dance, we focus on Sensual Bachata — a modern, expressive style that goes beyond basic steps to include graceful body movements, waves and smooth isolations.
